About SSAB Zero
Smarter designs start with smarter materials
At Cut & Fold Sweden AB, we develop products with a focus on smart design, efficient manufacturing, and a reduced resource and climate footprint. As part of this work, we use SSAB Zero™ in selected innovations and products.
SSAB Zero™ has the same high strength, quality, and performance as conventional steel from SSAB, but is produced with significantly reduced fossil carbon dioxide emissions. This means we can reduce the climate impact of the material without compromising on product functionality, durability, or lifespan.
For us, material selection is a natural part of product development. By combining SSAB Zero™ with Cut & Fold's principles for smart design and manufacturing, we aim to create products that are well-thought-out across the entire value chain – from material and production to transport, storage, and use.
Why we choose SSAB Zero™
The steel industry accounts for a significant portion of global carbon dioxide emissions. Reducing emissions from the steel itself is therefore a crucial part of the industry's climate transition. SSAB Zero™ makes it possible to use steel with a substantially lower climate impact today.
For Cut & Fold, this offers several advantages. We can use the material in our existing designs without sacrificing the properties of the steel, while simultaneously meeting the increasing demand for products with a lower climate footprint.
It also contributes to our long-term goal of developing a more sustainable value chain. We believe that the products of the future must be smart in several ways simultaneously – resource-efficient to manufacture, compact to transport and store, durable over time, and developed with a conscious choice of materials.
Look for SSAB Zero™ in our product catalog
SSAB Zero™ is used in selected products and innovations from Cut & Fold. Our product catalog indicates which products are manufactured using SSAB Zero™, making it easy for our customers and partners to identify the products where we have taken an extra step to reduce the climate impact of the material.
For us, the transition is not just about talking about future solutions. We want to use them in the products we develop today.
